🔎 Understand the French housing vocabulary !

To find housing in France, knowing the right vocabulary will help you understand rental ads and contracts, and avoid mistakes.

Here are the key words you need to know : 

🛌 Studio : One room with a separate bathroom. Good for one person.

🔢T1 / T2 / T3 :

  • T1 = one main room (living room/bedroom)

  • T2 = two main rooms (usually living room + bedroom)

  • T3 = three main rooms, and so on.

👥Colocation : You live with other people. You have your own room but share the kitchen, bathroom, and living room (the shared spaces depend on the accommodation).

🛋️Meublé : The apartment already has basic furniture (bed, table, chairs…).

📦Non-meublé : No furniture, you need to bring your own.
